The main idea of this page is to keep you up to date with what's going on at L'Antiga Escola - the events we're planning, changes in the hours, menu etc. And the other idea is to keep it simple, so I can update it more frequently, and tell you about what's coming up in good time, rather than at the last minute, which is what usually happens. Only time will tell whether I succeed... (Last updated March 2008)

Road closed One road opens, and another road closes. This time its the road between Tárbena and Castell de Castells. It's expected to be open again by the end of May 2008, but I shall check with the Roads Department in Alicante before then - watch this space! In the meantime, check out our map for alternative routes.  
       
Road open The road between Parcent and Castell de Castells finally opened at the end of July, and is now much improved. However, they are now (October 2007) working on the road between Tárbena and Castells. For a map and full directions check out the How to get to Tollos  
       
Wednesday walks The autumn is a great time for walking, and we go out every Wednesday, usually from Tollos, to explore some of the beautiful countryside round about. For more details, click here.

 A Residential Care Home has recently been opened in Tollos. Right our peaceful village, surrounded by beautiful countryside, it provides every care and attention for up to 20 people who need full time care.  If you need anything from our local Chemist's, it's open on Mondays and Thursday all day from 11.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. and Saturday from 4.00 - 8.00 p.m. You can phone Mª Angeles on 96 551 8356 or 679 82 22 42 and she'll have your order ready for you.
       
Paintings Come and see paintings by local artists David Webb and Paul Harrison, who have caught the atmosphere of Spanish mountain villages in oil, acrylic and pastel. See more on our Local Artists Page
